Didi Dance is an experimental movement practice created by Diletta Brancatelli (aka Didi), combining
her experience as a dancer, choreographer, performer and Yoga Dance Teacher.
Derived from the diminutive of her name, it is the result of studies in the fields of contemporary
dance, yoga, floorwork, instant composition, contact improvisation, cinema, and artistic research.
The exploration of movement begins with a meditative approach and a deep listening to psychophysical
feelings, in which the body requires constant attention, sensitivity, kindness, time, and
care. Only then can it become a reactive, ready, strong, energetic body, capable of continuous
evolution.
The proposed practice is therefore a journey that begins with an intimate, introspective and
meditative exploration of the body, then gives rise to dances and movement sequences in space,
stimulating anatomical potential and qualities, moving increasingly toward a creative and
performative direction.
An intelligent, sensitive, perceptive body is aware of its possibilities and potential only when
supported by a free, creative, and light mind. The body and mind support each other in
a continuous exchange, in a constant vibrant dialogue between losing and finding oneself,
between dream and reality.
DIDI DANCE is a courageous training in which the balance of body-mind-spirit is at the center of
the research; it’s the foundation upon which this practice rests, in which creativity is perceived as
the most important resource we have for dancing.
Drawing on various body techniques, the practice aims to be a collective journey that brings out
both vulnerability and strength, seeking to find a sense of freedom in the constant imbalance of
our bodies and our lives.
The practice is open to dancers, performers, but also to amateurs with significant experience in
bodywork and, in general, to all dreamers with a mind and body brave enough to dive into the
wonderful world of creativity.

Diletta Brancatelli (aka DIDì) dancer, choreographer, performer and Hatha Vinyasa Yoga and Dance
teacher. After a long academic career she specialized in the study of contemporary dance (release,
floorwork, sensitive dance, contact and improvisation). training mainly with international
choreographers (Edivaldo Ernesto, Lali Ayguade, Rassel Maliphant, Hun Mok Jung from Peeping
Tom, Kirsty Simpson, Charlie Morrisey, Itay Yatuv) and in Italy in particular with (Rosita Mariani,
Marta Ciappina, Mariella Castelli). She graduated in Cinema at DAMS in Rome 3 and this allows
her to be familiar with the direction of her shows with her company Atlantide Dance Company
active since 2015 and now with solo projects and in collaboration with contemporary musicians.
Among her most significant works, she dances at the Opera Theater Carlo Felice and the National
Theatre of Genova with the Deos Opera Dance Ensamble company, in Rome with the Aleph
company for several years. As a performer, she works at the Fondazione Ica Milano for the
performances of the famous artist Simone Forti. She is a dancer in the film La Grande Bellezza by
Paolo Sorrentino. Her research is continuouslyevolving and is contaminated by other arts and so
she develops performative projects both in urban and museum spaces, such as her A.P.P. Atti
Performativi Pacifici, an artistic movement of urban dance site specific
with monthly performances in Italy and abroad with the aim of recreating a sense of collective art
that brings the performer and the spectator closer together in a constant dialogue between art and
life. Creator of her own personal practice called DIDI DANCE in which she tries to travel on the
sensitivity, perception, emotion of each person, being firmly convinced that each of us has an
enormous creative potential and it is precisely through the dialogue between dance, meditation
and creativity that Diletta finds the key to connect deeply to art.
