|| Ashtanga Yoga / Ashtanga Hot Yoga (led) ||
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and traditional practice created in Mysore, India. It is characterized by fixed sequences of postures (asanas) that are performed in conjunction with deep breathing (ujayi breathing, also known as breath of fire). It is a dynamic, intense and fluid practice that helps develop strength, flexibility and mobility, strengthening the immune and respiratory systems and promoting physical and mental well-being.
Classes translate into a fixed and dynamic sequence of postures, adapting the rhythm and intensity according to each person's level and individual needs. The goal is to create a yoga practice that is both challenging and accessible, allowing each student to progress at their own pace and according to their abilities. The fact that it is a fixed sequence will allow the student to practice independently over time.
75-minute guided class. Not being a Mysore practice (in which each person follows the sequence of Asanas at their own pace), guided Ashtanga Yoga classes follow a sequence of fundamental postures.
The practice of Ashtanga Yoga not only transforms and detoxifies the body, but also nourishes the mind and spirit, providing a sense of inner peace and balance.
